Before Halley and Avalon became frenemies, they were best friends. In fact, they were so inseparable, everyone called them Halvalon—until a few major disagreements about boys, fashion, and popularity came between them.

1) LENGTH OF FRIENDSHIP: Four years
2) THREE SIMILARITIES: They both love animals, they both play lacrosse for the same team, and they kind of look alike. Some people even ask if they're twins!
3) THREE DIFFERENCES: Um...they're in different classes?
4) HOW THEIR FRIENDSHIP BEGAN: In fifth grade, every morning they would race to see who could clear the board in Mancala—Kelly says Caitlen always won!
5) DO THEY EVER LIKE THE SAME GUYS? Sometimes.
6) THEIR FAVORITE BOOKS: Caitlen likes mystery stories and Kelly likes love stories.
7) THEIR FAVORITE CLOTHES: According to Kelly, Caitlen likes polo shirts, but she prefers sweatshirts.
8) REASON FOR THEIR BIGGEST FIGHT: Kelly says she caused it because she was jealous. (Big points for admitting it!)
9) HOW THEY MADE UP: Kelly says, "Even though I was really mean, she still gave me a chance to redeem myself and invited me to her 13th birthday party after we hadn't talked for months!!!" (BFFs like Caitlen and Kelly forgive and forget! Brava, ladies!)
10) THE MOST FUN THEY'VE EVER HAD TOGETHER: Kelly remembers canoeing and tubing in Caitlen's lake, going to a Thrasher's game and "camping out" in Caitlen's room. (Sounds like fun!)
